Julie Schaller has 23 years of human resources experience within the financial services industry. Prior to becoming a member of the executive team for MidCountry Financial, she spent 14 years as the Chief People Officer for Pioneer Services. Under Schaller’s leadership, Pioneer Services was twice recognized as one of the "Best Companies to Work for in America" by the Society of Human Resources Management. The company was also one of 15 companies in 2005 to receive the prestigious Department of Defense Freedom Award for support of employees in the National Guard and Reserves. In addition, Schaller created human resources infrastructure and teams including recruiting, benefits, training, legal, administration, and compensation; developed and formalized an internal corporate training university; created reward and recognition systems fully integrated with performance management, compensation, and incentive systems; and implemented a Human Resources Information System.
