Thomas H. Holcom Jr. is a lifelong resident of Kansas City whose entrepreneurial style has supported the growth of several businesses and non-profit agencies. During the past two decades, Holcom has helped Pioneer Services achieve significant growth and recognition. Under his leadership the company has launched many initiatives regarding financial education, military benefits, family support, and services that solve very unique problems, aimed at helping military families. Holcom has also championed an open and supportive workplace, resulting in Pioneer Services being named the "Best Medium-Sized Company to Work for in America" in 2004 and 2006, and being chosen by Ingram’s business magazine as one of the “Best Companies to Work For in Kansas City” in 2009. The Kansas City Business Journal recognized Pioneer Services in 2010 with its "Champions of Business" award for financial performance, innovation, community contributions. His commitment to promoting volunteerism led to the company being recognized for having the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program” in 2006 by the American Business Awards (Stevie).
